The Coldest Night of the Year is a winterrific family-friendly fundraising walk in support of local charities. Let’s change the tune for people experiencing hurt, hunger, and homelessness... because it’s cold out there. Join us on February 22, 2025 - team up, fundraise, and walk with us!

Just a reminder about the Coldest Night of the Year Walk on Feb 22nd to support DYS and their tireless efforts to get kids off the streets. 


If you are considering joining us on the walk there is more information below. There are lots of options from a 1 km, 2km and 5 km options.

If you are walking, there are two options – same route just one turns back sooner.

There is a 1 km walk down south on Liverpool from Peach Church then a walk for 2.5 km a little further onto the path. (There and back make 2km or 5km.) There will be people at the turn around and for crossing any streets. (I would suggest a bathroom break before heading out. No bathrooms on the walk). 

 

What to Bring

It is suggested to bring good walking shoes and warm clothes. Maybe as snack or something to drink. There will be some there as well. 


We will do a quick meeting with an introduction at Peace Lutheran Church hall around 4:30, then start walking around 5:00, warmup in the Peach church hall starting around 6:00 (soup, bun and warm drinks) closing remarks around 6:30.

On Sunday, March 16th after service, come participate in an opportunity to share a meal with a group of people you may not have met or spent time with. Sign up to either go to a hosting house, or be a hosting house.
